would you believe i had two shoots in a row with couples who are high school sweethearts?   yup- katy and ariel met in high school and still laugh together as if they are 16 and newly dating.  i love that.   i had so much fun getting to know them last week and am really looking forward to their wedding in december . their love is so evident and was wonderful to witness.  i’m really happy with the series of photos we took-  happy viewing :)

allen and melinda are high school sweethearts who met in the ninth grade…they have been together over 10  years!  they have an epic wedding planned for next may and i’m so honored to be a part of it.  we met up last week to begin their e-session at the james island county park and they were seriously up for anything! allen had the most hilarious sense of humor and melinda was so friendly and easy going - definitely my kind of couple.

as you can see i wasn’t kidding about being up for anything!  melinda and allen jumped off the boardwalk we were on and into the mushy marsh…the result?  awesome muddy feet!

susan and alex’s wedding is coming up this month and i can’t wait!  we met up last week at the blue bicycle books store to begin their engagement session.  alex and susan were in great spirits and brought along plenty of props and ideas with them- which i absolutely LOVE!  couples out there- if there is something you love doing together don’t hesitate to mention it for your engagement session!  the most off beat places usually make for the most unique photos.  anyway- check out the hotness of susan and alex!

last friday i pulled up at a beautiful garden downtown to meet two of the sweetest people!  alice and jeff  are getting married next april at the william aiken house and have a wonderful celebration planned.  i can’t wait!  jeff and alice are both doctors….which brings me to their unique proposal story:  while alice was working her nightly rounds at the hospital jeff put a “fake” name on one of the doors.  alice entered the room and there was jeff waiting with a wedding ring!  it totally caught her off guard but she immediately said yes! :)  the only downside is she had to go back to work after all the excitement :)  anyway, enough talk:  meet alice and jeff!

is this not the coolest garden?  alice had the connections to get us into the coveted charleston courtyards i always see walking around downtown.  this one had a “secret garden” feel to it.
