it’s so flattering when other artists hire me to photograph their wedding. when ryan and kathryn contacted me last september i knew we were a match made in wedding photographer heaven. ryan teaches art at the university of cincinnati and kathryn is a top notch graphic designer for procter and gamble. they are expressive, goofy, full of life, and huge big kids (they got engaged in disney world)! well august 30th finally rolled around and there they were– reciting their vows on a mountain top overlooking the beautiful cliffs of glassy. ryan just absolutely adores kathryn and i loved watching them interact throughout the day.
the reception was held at the gorgeous westin poinsett hotel in greenville, sc. the gold ballroom had the original dance floor from the 1930s. the ceiling and chandelliers are also original. ryan and kathryn had been taking dance lessons to prepare for their first dance. the lessons more than paid off! they left the floor smokin’!
so check out the cake and then look at the wallpaper below that decorates the ballroom- kathryn used the wallpaper design as her inspiration for the cake decor. the detail was amazing! mandy powell who was their wedding planner guru did a great job in making their vision come to life.
